Description


Personal Care: Help clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.

Support: Assist with walking, moving, transfers, and positioning.

Preparation: Plan and cook regular or special diet meals, and help feed clients.

Health Tracking: Administer medications, change non-sterile dressings, and report condition changes to a supervisor or nurse.

Housekeeping: Handle light cleaning, laundry, washing dishes, and making beds

Requirements

High school diploma and often a training certificate in caregiving.

Skills: Strong empathy, patience, physical stamina, and clear communication.

Work Setting: Usually employed to work in private family homes or residential care facilities.
